Sunday afternoon; We had a couple of hours on the boat and the sun is shining at last!
Janny did the last of the cleaning up and I cut our two flagpoles to size. The new aft pole was too long and stuck out over the roofline. The pole fore has an almost invisible tip of a fishing pole added to it. The tip is the same height as the roof so if it can get under a bridge, so can the rest of the boat!
Not a Frisian cow...
Needless to say, there are lots of Frisian cows here. Our neighbour, however, has a different breed called "lakenvelders". A laken is a blanket and a veld is a field. The breed has a noticeable "blanket" across it's middle...standing in the field...
Another stone marten caught...
...and taken to Akkrum (I'm not sure that we're actually allowed to do that).
On the way, there was a weird storm with a "rolling" cloud.
I tried to put some pumpkins outside, but the ground was way too wet and muddy. Quite content to wait until Monday when my helper is here to dig and make a few mounds...
I did move all the seed trays outside so that they can get a bit of real sun and acclimatise for a few days...
My herb pallet is going OK (that simply means that they haven't died yet)...
...and the lettuce and strawberry bed is also OK, even though the rain has flattened everything...
On Saturday, I did put some New Zealand Blue pumpkins in the ground. This is a new breed to me and they looked to be the strongest, so far.
Also on Saturday, the boys assembled the new trampoline. We had been thinking of an in-ground model, but saw too many opportunities for misuse...
We both made it to 100 days of "Ommetjes" (Walks arounf the block) in a row - it really has become a habit!
And with this weather we are thinking of a few boat trips. I'm trying to get Janny interested in this one... Robin, Lyall and I did it in 2018 - without any pre-planning!
A loop Weesp-Gouda-Utrecht.
It will take us 2 days to get to the start and then about a week to do the loop. So Janny is planning 2 weeks off...sometime.

Not boating route but you get the idea. (Wijnjewoude to Paris- see email, couldnt paste).
